If you have never been to Canton, Texas for First Monday, wow, are you missing out. For years I have wanted to go sell my Buggy Buddies, but never felt I had enough inventory to make it worthwhile. It is for a Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Well, I am finally going in October. Winn and I made a day trip yesterday and secured everything. We found a wonderful place in Seven Points (approx. 30 miles away from Canton) to stay. It was a suite with kitchen for $60 per day. I wasn't sure what I would get for $60 a day so the owner was gracious enough to show me.....and what I found was very unexpected. It was gorgeous, clean and more then I expected. I am now waiting to find out where my space will be. Wish me luck.....if all goes well, I will be able to afford to do this more often. I'm excited!!!! Have a blessed day! My Life as I know it......
I believe that my life as I know it is about to change! Or at least I am praying about it. Today at approximately 11:45 a.m. I received a phone call from a local TV reporter named Emily Mathews. She has a segment at http://www.kwtx.com/ named "Emily Wants To Know". It is fascinating and very informative. Anyway, back to the story.... Emily called and said she had received an email from my sweet husband regarding my product and was very interested in interviewing me. OMG! Are you kidding????? So.... tomorrow morning (3-3-09) at 9:00 a.m. she will be filming a segment regarding Nana's Buggy Buddies. I am so excited and so nervous at the same time! Please pray for me, my business and my family as I start this exciting new part of my life. Pray for my sanity, my families patience with me and for my business all the way around. According to Emily they will also be interviewing a doctor who will do a presentation on germs and the illnesses that they cause in people as well as children. If you are interested in viewing this segment you can go to http://www.kwtx.com/ and pull up the Emily Wants To Know. Emily said that it would air either Thursday, March 5th or Friday, March 6th.
Don't forget to pray and thank you everyone for your support in the past, especially my family Winn, Josh & Courtney, Chris & Becky and Carmen. Thank you to Curtis & Neta Wiethorn for allowing us to do the filming at their business (Wiethorn's), Donetta Ferrell and her granddaughter for being my "model" and anyone whoever purchased my product. Without all of you, this would not have been possible!

I forgot the outside...
My Building at Winnie
Hi Everyone,
And here are the same walls after:
I know, I haven't been a very faithful blogger! But I've been very busy making Buggy Buddies, going to Market (got some great stuff) and working on my building in Winnie (with the help of Josh & Courtney)! I wanted to post some pictures of the building. Sure does beat having to put my tent up and down. The first pictures are the before and the second set are the after.
Winn and I are leaving Saturday morning to spend time with his mother (she's 91) in San Diego. We have rented a condo on the beach and I really look forward to some "down" time, although I have considered taking my sewing machine in case I get bored.
Anyhoo, here's the pictures of the inside of my building before:

Winnie, Texas vs Hurricane Ike
The last time I posted, I was so excited about going to Winnie, Texas to show my product. It was right after Gustav, but I was convinced that people would want to get out and just look around. The weather was beautiful and I enjoyed being semi outside (if you remember I had a porch location), but the people just weren't there.
God was good though ....that weekend I finally received the little shop that I had been waiting so desperately for the past three years. I paid my money for the October show in advance and was looking forward to going down and painting it and making it truly mine....
Then....along came Ike. I have been informed by the owner, Larry & Brenda, that my little shop is now sitting next to it's foundation! But, I still feel blessed because I didn't have any product set up yet and the people behind me did. According to the owner's she lost everything. Please pray for this person, she must feel hopeless right now.
In the next few posts, I plan to start showing my different shopping cart covers, already made, so that if you are interested in purchasing, you can get a visualization of the one you want. Check back!
Have a blessed day!

Going to see the kids!

Winn and I are traveling this weekend to Winnie to sell my product! I'm always excited about this trip because I get to spend time with Josh, Courtney, Vivian and Corbin! I use to think my children were my life, but grandbabies are great fun. You get to sugar them up and give them back to their parents and they (the grandbabies) think your great! Please pray for a safe trip for us.
Have a blessed day!

THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING......
I'm sure everyone could finish this sentence without me having to say another word!
The fact is that everything HAS gone up in price! My fabric, buckles, belting and everything else I use to make Buggy Buddies. I wish I could keep my prices down, but that just isn't possible! I have been making Buggy Buddies for approximately four years and this is the first time I have ever had to raise my prices. I will continue making the best product while keeping pricing down to the best of my ability in the future.

Check your reaction!
A friend of mine sent me this little game to test your reaction, as you would if you were driving. Be careful because it can become addictive.

Let's Do This...if I can only figure out how!!!!

Okay, so this is my first post! Great, now what do I say????
Well......I just got a new toy that I am so excited about, if I can only figure out how to post pictures. I have a digital camera, but again, how do I post the picture????
Anyway, my new toy is a small steam press! I was constantly whining (I do that alot since no one is around to hear me anyway) about having to iron my fabric before beginning the process of making the Buggy Buddies, so I went on Ebay and bid on this press. Do you know those people on there wait until the last minute to up their bids? Here I am thinking I am going to get this thing for $30. Wrong! In the end another person and I were outbidding and it became a all out war. Not only that, but bidding can become addictive! Anyway, I won! So now if I can just figure how to post the picture. Hey.... I DID IT! Just lucky.

Blog Candy Giveaway!

I don't believe it!!
I purchased some University of Texas fabric from my distributor and have been waiting forever for it! Well..... I finally got it and now I can't use it! Why you ask???? Because it is a licensed product and you can only use it for personal use, not resale.
But I can GIVE it away! So, I have decided that I will give away a Buggy Buddie made from this fabric for blog candy in the month of February. The contrasting color will be black.
I need some help. Even though I have been the owner of Nana's Buggy Buddies for almost 5 years, I am new to the blogging and internet world and would like some advise.
To be entered into the drawing for a FREE shopping cart cover I will need you to help me out. Post a comment to this thread offering some advice! (Here are some suggested questions to get your thoughts moving!)
- How can I make my blog more effective?
- How can I make it a little more "fancy"?
- Do you like the product(s) I offer?
- How would you like to see this product improved upon?
- Is there another item you'd like for me to look into offering?
- Do you know of any trade shows or markets that I can offer my product?
- Should I stick with blogger or do you know of a better way to go?
Any and all advise is helpful! Leave me a comment and I will use random.org to draw a winner on March 1, 2008.
Also, if you post a link to this blog candy on your blog, I'll give you an extra entry!
Thank you for playing and good luck everyone!
**Please note: This offer is not limited to the United States. However, if any of you win from outside the United States, I ask that you please pay shipping on your Buggy Buddie. Thank you.**
Snow??????

My household woke up to an unexpected visitor in the night. Mother Nature dropped approximately 2" of snow on our little valley. I just loved it! Everything looked to clean and new, just as God intended! Now I know some of you will laugh at me, but we don't get snow here very often so it is definitely something to see.
The car belonged to my father-in-law, who bought it new in 1967. Still runs and is in fair condition. This is going to be my husband's hobby when he retires, only he doesn't know it yet. I have told him he can't retire until he has a hobby.
Hope you have a blessed day!
