Blog Candy Giveaway!

I don't believe it!!

I purchased some University of Texas fabric from my distributor and have been waiting forever for it! Well..... I finally got it and now I can't use it! Why you ask???? Because it is a licensed product and you can only use it for personal use, not resale.

But I can GIVE it away! So, I have decided that I will give away a Buggy Buddie made from this fabric for blog candy in the month of February. The contrasting color will be black.
I need some help. Even though I have been the owner of Nana's Buggy Buddies for almost 5 years, I am new to the blogging and internet world and would like some advise.
To be entered into the drawing for a FREE shopping cart cover I will need you to help me out. Post a comment to this thread offering some advice! (Here are some suggested questions to get your thoughts moving!)
  • How can I make my blog more effective?
  • How can I make it a little more "fancy"?
  • Do you like the product(s) I offer?
  • How would you like to see this product improved upon?
  • Is there another item you'd like for me to look into offering?
  • Do you know of any trade shows or markets that I can offer my product?
  • Should I stick with blogger or do you know of a better way to go?
Any and all advise is helpful! Leave me a comment and I will use random.org to draw a winner on March 1, 2008.
Also, if you post a link to this blog candy on your blog, I'll give you an extra entry!

Thank you for playing and good luck everyone!
**Please note: This offer is not limited to the United States. However, if any of you win from outside the United States, I ask that you please pay shipping on your Buggy Buddie. Thank you.**

This is a great idea to protect our children and grandchildren. I would like to see a picture of this without a child sitting on it. I would like to know how large the holes are. I would think that there are holes. You should offer more baby materials. I think I see a handle on one. If so you need to mention this. Does it fold up? If so how small. Is there a carrying bag? I would like more info if you have any. Is postage extra? I wasn't sure. Hope this helps. Mary

How can I make my blog more effective?
have a space where you an see a selection of curent fabrics to choose from... demensions of product... Does it fit the double wide carts at HEB?

How can I make it a little more "fancy"? add a few colors... on the header a possible a picture (cartoon drawing) of a old baby buggy (or a new shopping cart) with nana pushing it

Do you like the product(s) I offer? yes

How would you like to see this product improved upon?
A place to hook toys with rings so they don't fly onto the floor.... a pocket to hold a sippy cup...
Possibly offer a double child buggy buddie that could fit two children in at the same time!! (Great idea for the two seater cart they have at the grocery store and for those with more than one kid of shopping cart size)

Is there another item you'd like for me to look into offering?
Little Bags to carry wipes and a few diapers that coordinate...possibly diaper bags or toy bags

Do you know of any trade shows or markets that I can offer my product? small children shops, resale shops, maybe contact some mothers groups (ie. M.O.M.S. or MOPS)to offer product as a free raffle to advertise your business. Try craft fairs esp around Christmas time.

Should I stick with blogger or do you know of a better way to go?
Stick with blogging for now...possibly a website.. or ebay store front

I agree with Mary's comments too. All good information to know before purchasing a product you can't touch.

Hope this helps... Good Luck.
Carol

I sell Parchment Tools and do classes at 2 local scrapbook stores and I have both a blog and a website.

I use my blog for classes and updates in general and then I have a free website at angelfire. It is real easy to use so try it at www.angelfire.com

Angelfire is much more easier than when I first joined it as my crop blue website is now http://cropblue.angelfire.com so you see it isn't as bog as my carbones corner which is below.

I get a lot of customers through my angelfire website

These are awesome! And I am a HUGE longhorn fan so here is my advice:
post a fee ad on Craig's list and link it to your blog or just post pictures there. Also doing a free give away like this is a great way to spread the word. I will add it to my blog and try to get the word out. I seen that be very effective for other friends who are selling things!

Wow these buggy buddies are so cute. One of my friends has something similar, she takes it everywhere. I think she bought hers in the U.S. Last Spring we had gone shopping at Targets and JoAnns. Now how to make your blog more effective? Show off your work in a scrolling window. I show my cards on my blog and I have separted two of my scrolls by company. You can go directly to my blog and click on the link below the scrolling window and you can get your own. I can also add you to my blog so that people know where to find you. I will do that today.
Have fun and thanks for hosting the contest.

Nana,
Pcik me, pick me, pick me. I have and adorable 6 1/2 month old grandson ( my one and only for now) that has a momma that would love to have your Buggy Buddy. Not to mention that she graduated from Texas Tech a few years ago. She is now a special ed teacher in Seminole, Tx.

Your blog is crisp and clean, with several material ideas listed and pics that show your procuct. I think it is wonderful. No changes that I can see.

Thanks so much

These are awesome. I had one when my 4 year old was a baby. It was wonderful. My brother is getting ready to have twins and I'll have to purchase some for them.
